Founded 1948 as Ryerson Institute of Technology, became Ryerson Polytechnic Institute 1963 and acquired present status and title 1993. Ryerson combines a traditional focus on theory with career-oriented emphasis on applicable skills-through laboratory work, field trips, outside projects, work experience, internships, regular contact with business and industry and work experience in the professional community.

  • Dettagli di ammissione: If graduating with OACs, most Ryerson programmes/schools encourage 70% or higher in six OACs, or equivalent, and include the required subject prerequisite within these averages. If graduating under the new curriculum effective 2003, most Ryerson programmes/schools encourage 70% or higher in a minimum of six Grade 12 U or U/C credits, and include the required subject prerequisite within these averages. Applicants from a country where English is not the first language, or where English is an official language but not the first language are required to provide proof of English proficiency at a satisfactory level. Eligibility for admission will be based on an assessment of academic and, when applicable, non-academic factors, such as audition, admission essay, interview, portfolio, etc. For the Diploma of Arts Programme and the pre-University Studies option, the minimum requirements is the OSSD.
